Poornas Marabommaikadai is a Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu-based wooden toy manufacturer and supplier, founded in 2017 by Poornajothi. We design and handcraft wooden educational and Montessori toys, learning boards, and customized return gifts for children, serving both retail and wholesale/B2B customers across India. Every toy is made by the Poornas Marabommaikadai team and local artisans — making it one of the few genuinely handcrafted wooden toy manufacturers selling online in India.
Our Story
Marabommaikadai began with a memory. The founder's family carried a tradition of toy making passed down through generations, crafting bamboo and palm-leaf (panai olai) toys, including hand-carved whistles, entirely by hand. That craft heritage is the reason this brand exists today.
Founded in 2017, the brand was started after seeing markets flooded with toxic, mass-produced plastic toys unsuitable for young children. What began as an online-first toy store grew into something deeper: a mission to bring back wooden, educational toys that support a child's real growth — motor skills, focus, and imagination — instead of screen time.
Every toy the Poornas Marabommaikadai team makes is designed to encourage children to put down screens and spend more time with family and friends. When a parent hands one of our toys to their child, we want it to feel familiar — like the toy they themselves grew up with, made new again. Poornajothi personally reviews new toy designs before they go into production, so every product carries the same standard the brand was built on.
